Cookie Policy
Last updated: June 6, 2026
This Cookie Policy explains how cookies and similar technologies are used by Matchfyre across two distinct surfaces: (1) our marketing site and app, and (2) the Matchfyre snippet that our customers install on their own landing pages.
1. Our marketing site (matchfyre.com)
We keep the marketing site light:
- Analytics: we use cookieless analytics (Cloudflare Web Analytics), which does not set tracking cookies or build cross-site profiles.
- No advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.
2. Our app (app.matchfyre.com)
The app uses strictly necessary cookies required to run the product:
- Authentication / session cookies set by our auth provider Clerk to keep you signed in and secure your session.
- Preference cookies (e.g. interface language EN/FR).
These are essential for the Service to function and are not used for advertising.
3. The Matchfyre snippet (on our customers' landing pages)
When a customer installs the snippet, it may set a first-party cookie on their domain. Its sole purpose is conversion attribution: it stores the ad-click parameters on arrival so that a conversion can be attributed when the visitor reaches the customer's confirmation/thank-you page (the confirmation-page fallback). It is:
- first-party to the customer's site (not a cross-site tracker),
- functional/measurement only,
- governed by the customer's own privacy and cookie disclosures, for which the customer is the controller (Matchfyre acts as processor; see the DPA).
The snippet does not read the content of third-party form iframes and does not set advertising cookies.
4. Managing cookies
You can control cookies through your browser settings. Blocking strictly necessary cookies may break sign-in or measurement features. Where required by law, consent for non-essential cookies is requested via a banner.
5. Changes
We may update this Policy; the "Last updated" date reflects the latest version.
